Nissan reveals ambition to dominate the Russian light commercial vehicle market


Nissan announced plans to open up the Russian market for light commercial vehicles, aiming to become the largest manufacturer of light commercial vehicles in the market in 2012.

According to Reuters, Nissan will start selling its light commercial vehicles in Russia in September this year. It has completed the construction of a sales service network for its light commercial vehicles and light trucks ranging from 3.5 tons to 7.5 tons. Nissan's first products were Cabstar light trucks and NP300 pickups. Its main target groups were Chinese and private users, with initial sales of 3,500 units. In 2009, the sales volume was 4,500 units.
